Constant Regeneration is Vital.

Xiaojun Huang is a designer, and educator originating from China, received her BFA in Book Arts from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and completed her MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Arts.

With teaching experience at College for Creative Studies and Upper Iowa University, Huang's creative vision extends beyond academia. As the gallery director at Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery, she curated exhibitions that push the boundaries of contemporary design and showcase emerging artists.

Currently an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. With a diverse education backboard across the East and the West, Huang brings global perspectives and innovative, hands-on methods to her classroom, educating students to embrace the incidents and unexpectedness that happen throughout the design-making process and encouraging students to think critically and do work that can spark public discourse on the challenges faced by the current society.

Huang also maintains a research-based studio (JxJ Studio) practice through commissions and self-initiative project collaboration with galleries. She is interested in environmental experience design and all print mediums, specializing in experimental bilingual typographic graphics and symbol making. She navigates the intersection between Eastern and Western cultures and explores the nuances of cultural fusion.  Huang believes in making communication beyond reading to feeling with a multi-language system to increase people’s wonder to care about the other part of the word and increase the collborationness.
